Tamsin Grimmer is an experienced and excellent consultant and trainer. She previously improved outcomes for children and families as an Early Years Consultant for two local authorities. Tamsin is passionate about young children’s learning and development and is fascinated by how very young children think. She has a keen interest in the different ways that children learn and how practitioners can support them. Tamsin is particularly interested in play, active learning, promoting positive behaviour and supporting early language development.
She believes that all children deserve practitioners who are inspiring, dynamic, reflective and passionate about their learning. When children have the very best start in their early years they adopt positive dispositions and attitudes to learning and the primary way to assist with this is through inspiring and motivating those who teach them. In this environment children thrive and grow.
Comments from recent training that Tamsin has delivered include:

“Tamsin was very friendly and confident. Very good delivery. I have definitely learnt what I set out too, thank you.” (Nursery Practitioner)
“Really enjoyed the course and it’s down to Tamsin’s teaching. Very approachable and super at her job. I’m now much more confident and enthusiastic.” (Early Years Teacher)
In her time as a teacher, and later as a childminder, Tamsin underwent three very positive Ofsted inspections and demonstrated that she was an outstanding practitioner. She is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and writing two books. Tamsin also puts theory into practice with her three young children, keeping her feet firmly on the ground.
